Korres Cherry Full Color Lip Gloss

Korres, the Greek line at Sephora I've come to really love, has a refreshingly unique gloss with the most addictive scent of cherry oil to help moisturize your lips.

It's free of parabens, silicone, and my new 'ingredient to watch out for'- Propylene Glycol, which can be found in many cosmetic products, as well as antifreeze and injections given to sick livestock. Yummy....

The gloss isn't sticky or messy, it simply blankets your pout with a layer of moisture and a subtle sheen that feels like a mix between gloss and lip balm.

    You think you might be getting propylene glycol confused with polyethylene glycol? Polyethylene glycol is the product in anti-freeze. The only reason I am pointing this out is b/c I used to work at a Poison Control Center, and when someone calls in and tells you the product name someone ingested,you enter it into the system and it brings up all the ingredients in the product. I used to get the 2 confused a lot until I had a 2 year-old ingest some Astroglide (which lists propylene glycol as an ingredient)and it's completely non-toxic- just might cause some loose stools or stomach upset if ingested in large amounts!Just something you might want to look into further.

    Hi there.

    While Polyethlene Glycol (PEG) is another nasty comoutnd found in cosmetic and beatuy products, Propylene Glycol is very commonly used too.

    The Environmental Working Group just urged large cosmetic companies to stop using Propylene Glycol (among others) in their cosmetics.

    Some more information on it;

    It is non-toxic when ingested, but can be a skin irritant when applied topically.

    Thank you again for reading!

    BTW- A 2 year old ingesting Astroglide.. Pretty embarrassing call for those parents to make!

    My Best,

    Carissa
